I was shaking with not just anger but with a strange and yet familiar power surging through me.

My attacker stumbled back in surprise. His eyes were wide and was staring at my clenched fists.

I looked down to find them smoking. I had no control over my body anymore.

And then I bursted in flames.

Literally.

I was covered in fire lapping around me. But I wasn't burning. In fact I didn't even feel the heat.
I caught a slow movement from the corner of my eye, in an otherwise still room.
 
I looked around me as a girl started to go down on her knees and crossed her arms over her chest to make an X.

Slowly the others started to follow her lead until the whole arena was bowing to me. Even the buff I was fighting with.

Then all of them propped one knee up and extended one arm towards me and shouted in sync.

"IGNIS!"

The Council of Magic was later changed to the Triumvirate in the 1540's, and from then on are set on killing off every last fire mage. Allen Fleming, a 15 year old air mage, wishes to attend the Magical Knights Academy. The academy is where many young, prominent mages attend to improve their use of magic, and eventually become a magical knight. Magical knights are the respected mages who protect the cities of England and keep its citizens safe. But in order to even attend the academy, Allen must first pass the entrance exam. However, Allen's magic is extremely weak and he relies mostly on his physical fighting ability. Air is considered the strongest element within England, and with his lack of air magic prowess, many mages hate and ignore him. But what many do not know, is that Allen possesses a second element - the fire element! Without knowing who his real parents are, and having to keep his fire magic a secret, Allen has to work hard if he ever wishes to become a magical knight and achieve his goals. They also found out very quickly enough to their pleasure, after accidents around the school, that by combining their gifts of their specific elements to hers, that they could create something even more powerful then what they already had on their own. Sierra was not one to scare easily, especially not when it came to being snuck up on, but there is one thing that has always scared her, and that always will scare her.
