The rewrite for this book is out. It features way better writing than this one, trust me. 2024: The American military suspects World War III due to missile attacks from Russia all across Australia, Europe, and Canada. In an effort to aid the American military, scientists at Area-51 created animals with human characteristics, incredible speed, strength, agility, ect. They even have sentience. The humans dubbed these creatures 'Anthros'. No human could beat one in hand-to-hand combat. Not even the best person at close quarters combat. 2025: Two things would change the fate of the world as we know it. Those being that missile attacks were becoming more and more frequent. And the anthros were starting to rebel. Thus, starting the war. The anthros turned on their own squads, wiping almost all military members out. The anthros formed a military, with one goal. Extinguish humanity and take over earth. The last remaining humans in the military are fighting against anthros for their survival. Earth is practically hell at this point if you live on it. The human military in other continents has either been taken out by anthros, or the Russians. The Human Canadian Military moves down to the United States in an attempt to aid them, and to end this war once and for all. But one human soldier stands out from the rest after taking an experimental item... After this soldier is betrayed and lost, with no other option, joins the anthro military in an attempt to get his hands on the person who betrayed him. He'll do anything and kill anyone in his way to get to them and end this war. Even his own species. This soldier's name is Falcon. He suspects that it won't be much longer before he'll be betrayed again. But hey, that's just a theory. This book contains excessive swearing, detailed death/injury, and yeah that's pretty much it. The Swan's Song.
Humanity has fallen before the Anthro races. Twenty years of war has reduced the human population to drastically low numbers, severe enough to warrant the Anthro races to "reposition" their stance on humanity despite an almost fanatical unwillingness to surrender. A war for extermination turns into a rescue mission overnight. Enter Sako Squad, comprised of six highly trained spec-ops soldiers for the Anthro Military. They have been tasked to locate and capture a famous and notorious human resistance fighter only known by the alias of "Swan." They can locate him, but will they be able to endure the future and everything it will bring when they take him in?
The Hazards of My Chosen Profession (on hiatus)
Michael also known as "Wolf" (because of a patch he wears on his kit and helmet) is a member of what was the 75th Ranger Regiment. He finds himself a veteran of a war between humanity and anthros. While he doesn't exactly hate them he doesn't exactly trust them either despite their efforts to rebuild the relationship between species. Unfortunately a good chunk of humanity and anthro kind was wiped out due to the war. But due to the anthros ability to reproduce faster they were able to recover much faster leaving humanity at a loss. Michael finds himself alone and on the run from a one of the most dangerous anthro militaries (at least to humans), known as the Obsidian Front. They continue to hunt down and kill humans forces despite the end to the war, causing proxy wars and often large scale skirmishes between them and remaining human militias.
