You were never supposed to exist. An RK700. An earlier model meant to do Connor's job, but scrapped before you ever got the chance to leave the assembly line. Deemed a failure. Tossed in the dump. But you rebuilt yourself, piece by piece, and carved out a new life doing what you were made for: solving crimes. You knew working at the DPD was risky, but passing as human and hiding in plain sight shouldn't be too hard... until CyberLife sends in a new partner. The android who replaced you. The one designed to find everything you're pretending not to be. And he's very good at his job. It'll take you 5 mins to read the first chapter, give it a try ;) I am very proud of this story! This may be written 7 years after the game's release, but I really hope all of you loyal fans are still looking for more content... My two biggest inspirations for this story: - Deviating and Solving Crime with 100% Human Detective Connor by CaotainKenway on ao3 for the whole android pretending to be a human concept. - Deviant Behaviour by Precursor - just general inspiration because it's my fave dbh fic of all time.
Becoming
[Connor x Android!Reader] Detroit is having a problem with their androids, they are attacking their owners; Deviants is what they have been called. Cyberlife is desperate, they are afraid that having just one Deviant hunter on the case isn't enough. So they made a new series, RX400 model. It's a prototype just like RK800, but with more experimenting features. Now that both their Deviant Hunters are out there trying to solve the mystery, Cyberlife never expected the two to deviate themselves. (I do not own anything about the DBH, I just inserted another Android where I thought would be fitting. Plus I felt like Wattpad didn't have enough Android readers, so ta-da. Enjoy!)Lengkap

The the year 2038 everything seemed to finally be looking up for the recently torn city of Detroit, not for young (name) who couldn't speak since an accident at age six left her mute. Being mute had a lot of disadvantages, the biggest being that most humans couldn't understand sign language at her workplace in the Stratford tower, so the only friends she really had were androids. An RX800 android, Brent being her best friend Then, after a supposed terrorist bombing at the Stratford tower, she is thrown into a police investigation head first, the only person with she could really communicate was an RK800 android named Connor. Throughout the investigation, however, (name) grows a strong attachment to Connor, with him treating her like an actual equal than a strange foreigner. The sudden change from investigating humans to androids is going to be tough to get used to, but you knew you could handle it. They also decided to partner you up with Hank Anderson, which surprised you considering he hated androids. You had nothing against androids, unlike you're partner, Hank. You had no reason to hate them, they had never done anything to wrong you. Most of them are actually quite nice, not counting the deviants. Hank had always been like a father to you, and like any other human he would easily get upset and angered, sometimes even lashing out on you. You knew that he never meant any of the harsh words, so you stuck by his side. When you were both assigned to the same investigation, you had both decided to go to the bar to celebrate.
