The woman let out a bubbly giggle. She came closer to me and put both her hands on the sides of my face. Her touch felt familiar and warm against my cold skin. Her eyes twinkled.

"You have grown up to be such a beautiful young lady." I tilted my head to the side.

"Do I know you?" Her face instantly fell but she quickly composed herself.

"Once upon a time." She sighed heavily.

"What do you mean once upon a time?"

"Trinity I am your mother." I scrunched up my face.

"Your not my mother. My mother is on a business trip in Russia."

"No those things are not your family."

"Things? "

"Vampires."

I scoff. " You're crazy. Those kinds of things don't exist they are myths."

"That's what you think sweetie. We walk right in front of the naked eye."

I look at her with wide eyes. " What do you mean "We". I don't get any of this. First you tell me that the people that I call Mom and Dad aren't my real parents. Then you tell me that they are these..these things that drink blood and kill people for a living." I shudder at the thought.

Is Trinity losing her mind ,or is this strange woman who claims to be her mother be the one who helps her find the love that she desperately needs or is it all just a hallucination.
