Mature
In a faraway land, will the joys of love be battered by the pain of lies to keep someone from happiness?
The world of Ataraxis is ruled by realms born from love, hatred, and magic.
The tale of how a god and a human created children out of love
They lost their lives; the kingdom was now divided into five. The first king went and laid his soul to rest at the centre of the realms. His soul created a fountain of his tears, not knowing where his lover and king had gone and where his children were taken, which created a portal in a dimension below and inside the power to grant others the wish of choice; in this way, he would leave behind a gift to his lover and children in the hope they would not suffer again and live alone in sorrow.
But what had happened to their young girl, whose life had caused this war when her memories betrayed her as well as her own mind? What took everything from her? Will she ever remember, or will it only be a distant memory of a new life that she fights for?

The Glimmerstone Enigma [Epic Fantasy][D&D Inspired] by Ravensaloft
22 parts Ongoing Mature
The outcome of many epic wars often hinges on the efforts of unexpected heroes whose details are lost to time and never appear in historical accounts. This is one of those tales. When ruthless demons attack without warning, slaughtering the brothers and sisters of the Luminarium, early clues suggest the use of magic well beyond the capabilities of contemporary masters. The two surviving monks join forces with some old friends and new allies to determine the perpetrator and their end game. What they discover is a potentially apocalyptic future. What to Expect: Multiple Main Characters: A group of imperfect non-human adventurers with various skills and backgrounds join forces for a common desirable outcome. Collaborative Problem Solving: The struggle to become greater than the sum of their original parts and find a way to succeed as significant underdogs. Exploration and Discovery: A world with history, magic, and cryptids waiting to be discovered understood, harnessed, and overcome. Natural Progression (without the stats): MCs develop personally and professionally within the story's context, honing themselves and their craft as they go. Dungeons and Dragons flavor: A homebrew world that broadly follows the ideas and constructs of the game. More adventure than politics: Worldbuilding is minor and situationally relevant. There will be no info dumps of national history or political rivalry - except where necessary to the plot. For me, the characters and the adventure are the story.
