"I was born on June 22nd, 1947 on the wet warm soil of Anniston, Alabama. Where the climate was equivalent to a steaming pot on a stove."

...

"Alabama a South state that was segregated while I was being called a gentleman..."

...

"You have to break train tracks, to form a way to justice..."

....

I scan her face she looks about the same age as me, plus her fingers had blisters and spicy marks on them. I squint my eyes from the blazing sun picking a dandelion embedded into the soil feeling the slimy texture of the stem on my fingers.

"You're playing with dandelions, huh?"

...

A story that tells about
a boy who grew up in the South
witnessing the cruelty of his
friends.
Having to witness society on the injustices

who doesn't look like herself.

Until they met
each other...
