"Isn't it funny how I always have to save your sorry ass?" He let out a giggle, and a huge smile was plastered on his face. I've never seen him this chill and joyful.
"Hahah well that's what friends do, save each other's asses" As those words fell from my lips, the cheeky, cheerful person was replaced by a tense, miserable person, which wasn't really surprising, because 1 second he is calm and chill, and then all of a sudden his mood just changes for no reason.
"You know what the worse thing is, falling for someone that isn't willing to catch you." He spoke with sadness in his voice.
"Tell me about it." I understood what he meant, because I've always felt like this.
"Why don't people focus on what's in front of them, instead of focussing on the background?" He seemed pretty hurt while saying those words, but the thing that surprised me the most is him expressing his feelings to me.

I would only get scolded at and maybe my phone seized. But it's not really my fault for wanting a distraction from my messy life. He asks, hesitating on the crackers and pushing them away. "I just thought-it's just- well... you just always seem so pissed when someone mentions the word gay." I spit out words, scared for his reaction. He sighs, "That doesn't fucking mean I hate gays. Normally when I do that it's because someone's using the word 'gay' to hate on them, it just pisses me off, you know?" He asks, bringing the crackers back into his lap and biting into them. "Plus-" He adds on, "You're my best friend, if anything, you being gay is a blessing. I'll always support you." He says, glancing at me through the side of his eyes. I look away, towards the door to hide the crimson blush that I feel spread over my face. "Thanks." I all but squeak out.
