In the future, anything uninhabited by humans is a waste land. Populations have dipped ever since communities started doing Choosings every century . Anyone between the ages of 10 to 20 are dropped in abandoned areas until only two people remain. These people are the next leaders and are forced to marry and bear children. Sunni and her sister, Anne are forced to participate. Eventually, Sunni meets a boy named Jonah who is weak and in need of protection. Will she keep on her own or let the puppy-like boy follow her around risking her, and her sister's life? Read to fine out ;).

Bastien Water's name gets called out during the Choosing and he has to try to survive on Earth. While his family grieves thinking that Bastien won't survive but he's out to prove them wrong. Bastien meets new people, makes some friends and make some enemies. Bastien has to face many challenges to survive on Earth. Will he be able to do it? This book is is written in the far future were war is raging throughout the world permanently halting all innovations. Humanity wanting to finally bring it all to an end only finds one way to solve it. End humanity as we know it. Governments across the globe found that humanity wasn't what it was before and had become dark and terrible to live in, so to fix that they made a small utopia pulling in families, scientists, and important government officials to create the perfect pair of humans. Those two humans would be trained to kill what humanity has become and start it all over, so the world would be a better place. But once they make the female, they find that she is not like her partner. She has a different goal in mind than restarting humanity. This is my first book, so it may have a few mess ups but I hope you enjoy, I have worked hard to at least get this out.
