Saving Myself

This story is about a girl who's dream is to make her family proud.

But one small wrong move and she lost everything.

"I have a competition today at 12. Are you guys going to be there before I get set up or before It's my turn to go on?" I asked my parents as I set my bags down, before going to sit down opposite my parents at the dinner table.

"Sweetie. We can't make it to this one." My mother said with a sad smile.

"Why not? You said you are going to be there. You said it just yesterday. What changed?" I snapped at them.

"We have a very important meeting with your doctors." My mother said with another sad smile.

I looked confused for a second as to why my parents would go to my doctors before something clicked in my head.

"What you meant with that 'we' is you guys and me. Right?" I asked looking from my mother to my father.

"We need to get your leg checked. To see if the bolt and screws are ready to take out or not." My father said.
