Every year Birmingham has an event called the selection. At age fourteen everyone gets a chance to see if they are worthy enough to receive powers. Most get water powers, some get air, and some get earth. But not for thousands of years has anybody gotten fire powers. Caleb thought he was just as normal as everybody else, but, that might not be true.
