'The phantom' is the pseudonym given to Chiyo Morri from her uncanny ability to disappear. Chi wasn't always a ghoul though. She was once human, but a freak accident left her with an emergency transplant needed, and who better to donate than the friend she was out with? They are a perfect match.
Her life is flipped upside down from that point onward. Since she is such a rarity in the ghoul world, she is hunted incessantly by multitudes of people. One fateful day she finds herself fed up with her current life and looks for an out. She stumbles upon a website for an exclusive and isolated school, Cross Academy.
What oddities await her at this new place? Will she let them scare her off or will she learn to fight back? Can she allow anyone close to her there? Or will someone weasel their way into her heart?
