Mara is a young woman singing in the streets to keep herself alive. All she wants is to sing all day and dance all night. One day, she meets the handsome prince and becomes entranced by his beauty, who in turn falls in love with Mara's voice. Knowing that her status as a beggar might turn him away, she concocts a potion to ensure that the prince will remain enchanted by her voice forever. However, everything comes with a price and getting tricked by a sea witch was just the beginning in this tragic tale.
