In a world where few magic still exists, one country is holding out against all others, clinging to their magic as technology takes over the rest of the world. Their main line of defense are the Elementars, magic users that control different types of materials. Most Elementars draw their powers from Espíritus, humans holding immense power inside their bodies with no way to access it.
Soren is one such Espíritu, on the run from the Academy. The day comes when she will have to make a decision: to either die innocent or join an Elementar in the war she doesn't believe in. Ready to die, she hides in a warehouse far away from possible casualties the explosion of her powers would cause when a car approaches and two people step out of it.
She has minutes left to live, when the police find her and call for an Elementar to be brought over immediatly. Will he get there in time? Or will she die in blazing glory, as she always planned to do?
