Kendra Sohail, a peasant girl in France in the 1400s, always knew she didn't belong, but it wasn't until a powerful magician discovers her powers that she finds her calling. The magician takes her on as an apprentice until her powers nearly equal his. However, the magician is called away to a far off place, promising to return soon. When his return is delayed with no word of warning, Kendra discovers the horrible fate that befell his ship and she must face a past hidden from the world and brave a world that she quickly discovers is much bigger and much stranger than she knew.

A Time Traveling Fairytale
Fate leads those who are willing but must push those who are not. One might interpret this saying a bit too literal. After all, Elena did end up on the bottom of a hill in the middle of a forest, suffering several injuries. She is also something more which is discovered as she grows up but she must keep it hidden to protect herself. As she masters her skills, she, along with her friends, are given the opportunity to leave and earn her freedom. It's the first step in finding herself and her answers and perhaps it could change her life in ways she couldn't imagine when she was taking everyone's orders in the kitchen. But first she must rescue a prince from a dungeon... (Small warning) Contains suggestions of non consensual sexual relationships of a business kind but no graphic detail.
