"I'm sorry," I said looking down at the pavement. I couldn't look at her at all. I feel too ashamed of myself.

"for what?" Nicole asked.

"for not standing up for you, I should've ran away with you. I should have told dad that no matter what he does, we'll stay together," tears started rolling down my cheeks, it was the very first time they did for a girl.

She lifted my chin, pressed her lips against mine and softly whispered, "I love you no matter what happens, I know we're not suppose to be together but I will hold on to you unless you tell me to let go."

I couldn't do anything but smile. Smile even though I feel like I disappointed her. We both know she deserves so much more than this. Someone better than me. Yet she stays for me. Am I even worth it?
