It has been nearly five years since the demise of Rapunzel's friends, Varian and Cassandra. Their deaths left the kingdom of Corona feeling sorrowful and dark.
Nobody got over their deaths, not really. Some just chose not to think about it, others just pretended as if it never happened.
As the princess's coronation creeps upon them, she can't help but feel lost, pained. The guilt of her friend's deaths still haunted her dreams and plagued her days. She was beginning to think that she would live like this forever, until someone unexpected showed up the night before her big day.
Will the soon-to-be Queen find the closure she needs from this mysterious figure? Or will she live the rest of her days burdened with the loss of two people she loved and cared for most?

On their journey to figure out the mystery of the black rocks that have been plaguing the Kingdom of Corona lately, a group of friends find more mystery, old friends, and best of all, love. Join Rapunzel, Eugene, Cassandra, Pascal, Max, Lance, Varian, Ruddiger, and Altair as they end their adventure differently than you would expect. Hi! I'm Hope, and I'll by your narrator for this story. Now, I have no clue what happens, as my Dad has forbidden me from reading ahead as I am just as prone to give out spoilers as Tom Holland and Mark Ruffalo are. Couple of disclaimers, uh, everyone except Altair, Mia and the other characters in this story that you aren't familiar with if you've watched the show belong to Tangled: The Series. Basically, it's a really, really good spin-off of Rapunzel's time in Corona between Tangled, and Tangled Ever After. It involves plot-twists and astounding character development and a tremendous amount of heartache for a kid's show. Selina and I highly recommend it. Altair belongs to the amazing Tumblr user and artist @shima-draws. Selina asks of you to check her out, she's a-mazing. Every other character mentioned in this story belongs to Selina. The Understudy of an Alchemist
Many people long for a bigger and better life, especially as a young child and occasionally even a blossoming teen. However, this rule does not seem to apply to the young, starry eyed Violet Asaki. However, reality seems to believe otherwise; and with the sudden threatening presence of mysterious black rocks with apparent magical properties in her village, Violet's world is completely flipped upside down. With the King arrogantly ignoring the arising crisis; Varian becoming unrecognisable, as well as her battling her confusing arising feelings for her best friend, and Princess Rapunzel, who promised to fix all of this mess now suddenly out of the picture, Violet must take matters into her own hands when a crazed demon shows up completely out of nowhere, threatening to destroy everything and everyone that is dear to her for seemingly just for the fun of it. Just about 1 year after his fall and arrest, Varian alone in the darkness of his cell, longs for one thing. Meanwhile Cassandra's now endless power rises up, as she swears revenge on Rapunzel for what happened so long ago. Note: This is based off Tangled the Series which if you don't watch it you will be very confused. Sorry this thing isn't very good, it's my first fanfic. I am so sorry for stealing this in the past, if you somehow see this do forgive me! ~ 2025 Edit: Wow, it has been a hot minute. The series finale just hit its fifth anniversary, and as I was thinking about it I remembered this fanfic existed. ...this is certainly a piece of work, lmao. Between the writing style being very reflective of my age to the self-deprecating comments I wrote about my own writing to the stolen cover art (my sincerest apologies for that, I am going to change it but the original is by @codynaomiswireart on tumblr) it is beyond me what was going through my head when I wrote it. It is for that reason I found myself shocked to see it with thousands of reads and comments, which thank you for by the way, I did not realize there was this much demand for moon Varian lol. For now I intend on leaving it up solely because it is hilarious to me and a good reflection on what was at the time a very important show to me. In the present, a lot of my love for the series has been somewhat diminished, due to many factors. But I won't deny what it did for me then, as I have moved onto, what I am hopeful to view as far greater artistic pursuits lol.
