Uraraka's confession to Deku backfires, when he rejects her. Uraraka is left to grieve, as Deku is off having fun with the rest of class 1-A. Even though Uraraka is noticeably different, Deku seems unfazed by Uraraka's behavior and ignores her. Soon enough, rumors start to spread like wildfire.
