You weren't interested in becoming a hero but for a while, you 'were' interested in dating them. As time went on you noticed how complicated it was going out with Heroes so you decided it was best to take a break from them.
Knowing this, Izuku tries his best to win you over as himself since you really haven't figured out that he is the number one hero in Japan.
