Lucy Jenson has tried to be as normal as can be, even with the past divorce of her parents that had caused her and her mother to flee to the small town Hingston Creek. Lucy seems to settle well in the small town, even though she’s not fond of the small town atmosphere and the claustrophobic atmosphere she still feels like it could work. It takes no time for Lucy to meet a few new friends, and a few unfriendly acquaintances. Lucy never thought she would find trouble in the small town of Hingston, but when she starts to dig deeper into the mystery of the Gladden Creek she begins to learn some knowledge that some don’t like. The sudden death threats that come at Lucy and constant feeling of being watched slowly get’s to Lucy, but there’s more problems over her head than anything. The mysterious male that seems to be watching Lucy’s every step is becoming more and more involved in her life. His feelings all seemed entangled with hers as she try’s to look deeper into his past and who he truly is. Can Lucy dig deeper and find out the truth of the town of Hingston and who she desires? Or will the death threats turn into a real cruel game and Lucy will become like the others of Gladden creek, without knowing who truly is playing the town of Hingston like a puppet. The watching is a tantalizing, horror filled novel that is a must read.
