I knew what was coming later tonight, not only at home, but on the way there. I knew that reacting right now would just make it worse though. So I kept quiet and pretended that I was not dreading when I would be alone with the man that stood beside me, wondering when it became so normal to do so. Jason and Alicia have the perfect relationship from the outside looking in, but Alicia has kept her wounded spirit and body hidden well. After another one of Jason's violent rages that is impossible to hide, Alicia is finally able to get away from the abuse though. In the process of healing, she begins to relearn what trust, compassion, and safety are once again - that is, until Jason discovers her whereabouts. I started writing poems because I had to get my emotions out in some other way and poems helped because I got a deeper meaning from them and had to put lessons I learned the hard way in my writings. I feel as if these were meant for those who could under stand my pain and anger at those who did me wrong. I don't care what you think about my writing because it's part of me and this is how i'm choosing to show you who I am. I was bullied. I did have my heart broken. I have came back stronger. My life has changed and so have I. I'm ready to take that stand.

𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘩𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘦𝘯𝘴 𝘪𝘧 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘰𝘸 𝘎𝘰𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘦𝘭 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘭𝘦𝘵 𝘩𝘪𝘮 𝘸𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘦 𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘳𝘺?... Ex military 𝘓𝘶𝘬𝘦 𝘙𝘦𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘴 retired after getting shot in the shoulder, and was forced to drive back home. Like every military staff, who was coming back home, he was still excited to see his fiancèe, despite him losing his job forever. It did not turn out the way he hoped it would be and caught her cheating with his best friend. That's when he started to lose all his hope in life and plot his own death. When life does not work his way he starts blaming God for it. Fortunately, he survived a car accident and was saved by a business woman named 𝘈𝘣𝘪𝘨𝘢𝘪𝘭 𝘗𝘢𝘨𝘦. She helps him become a better version of himself and grow more into Christ, making him find the right path in his life again. I've tried to release this pain in so many different ways; But writing about you seems to be one of my faves. I don't understand how I find closure When I know it only lasts until the poem is over. Somehow it feels like some sort of imaginary relief to my reality. As if, the pain I feel only exists until the words are free.
