It did not start that way, but once I got going, a lot of thing fell into place, namely that despite starting with the intention to do fanfiction, I did not commit to actually "living" in the milieus of the Marvel or even DC Universe. They became set pieces, prop-culture references and points of familiarity for the protagonist. I am turning _Murdersphere Mosaic_ into a first draft and I plan to re-develop set life on IC-CG1. I'm stripping out the Marvel and DC references, but it will definitely be recognizable as a super-science, comic book influenced environment. The idea is quite exciting. Because this turned into a sequel, I want all of you to have the whole story. So, I am going to serialize _Blue Collar Immortal_ on Wattpad, one chapter a week, starting Friday, September 19, 2014. If you do not want to wait, or you want a different format, I have dropped the price of _Blue Collar Immortal_ to $0.99 in the Kindle store. Also, because they peripherally touch on _Blue Collar Immortal_ and _Murdersphere Mosaic_, I have reduced the prices of _Theocrat_ and _Geistwolf_ to $0.99 as well. But we are all free to write what we want, right? Maybe later, after the publication, I could think that it was a really bad idea, very bad. But right now, I don't have that view yet. I have sat often in front of the computer, and stared long at the screen without ever writing a word. The synopsis for this project has haunted me since the first person asked me "So, what is it about?", and to this day I have never been able to deliver a straight answer. This book is about a number of things, many of which do not fit evenly into a succinct description. I have tried to make them fit and have found the resulting descriptions ill-representing and dull. Thus, I have decided to go without a description. This book will fade into obscurity no matter what I put here, so I might as well write what's really important. Winter in a city is an especially punishing time. This book comes out of my late nights and early mornings riding the train, and my looking at the window and being able to make out nothing but the blur of the glass. From the outside it may look dead, but certain people know that the inner workings of a city are a true marvel to behold. In writing this, I have tried to capture that marvel and deliver it to you, the reader. This is a book about a city and the people within it. The rest is up for you to read, if you so choose. Pyre lives on whether you experience it or not. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A science-fiction novel, updated whenever there is new material to post. The last cover was AI generated, so I spent some time making a crude cover of my own.
