Lumen Castillo has grown up wrongly believing that the Umbrella Academy was a fun little camp her mom would send her to during school breaks. Naive and too kind for her own good, the happy-go-lucky girl only learns the truth when she sets off for college.
Sure, she knew she was different with her strange glowing hands; but all her friends had powers too! And the weird "hostage" field trips weren't all that odd, were they? Okay, so there were definitely a lot of red flags.
Never-the-less, Lumen settles into a semi-normal life traveling the world with a skilled disaster relief team. That is, until she gets a phone call reminding her of her old life and the friends she so willingly left behind.
Will Lumen be able to get over her past enough to help save the future?
