Some say the world will end in ice, some in fire, some in darkness. But truly, the world as it is known will rise or fall by something far more simple- blood. The blood of a boy and a girl violently opposed, but perilously similar. Gifted with Source, a powerful magic from interstellar beings known only as Celestials, they were born blessed; or as they view it, cursed. One tormented by the past that breaks his heart, one facing a future that will destroy her spirit, the two are more alike than they are different... and perhaps this is what makes them hate each other so very much. Yes, the world will rise or fall by blood... but who will bleed? And who will wield the sword?
