Constance Wallace is the next in line to rule her beloved countries, Ryfa and Lyorfa, and it wasn't something she worried herself with until her father was assassinated and now she has to leave the party scene to focus on her coronation. That was before the letters arrived, threatening her life and line unless she abdicates to the next family, her brother-in-law, Renard Monceaux.

James Barnes left the army with an injury to his left arm, forcing him to discharge honorably and take up performing private security. His normal clients were usually members of the Assembly or Council who recieved death threats over whatever law or belief they advocate for. He had a strict rule on doing detail for royals, as he found them to be stuck in their ways, refusing to change anything of their day-to-day for their own safety. But that changes when a close friend offers a detail for a princess set to become queen after her father was murdered.

"Life is fifty wrong turns down a bumpy road. All you can hope is that you end up somewhere nice." - Punk 57 *I don't own any of the characters except the OCs. Melanie Lovett was a former CIA Agent. She decided it wasn't in the cards for her to keep doing something that didn't bring her joy. She was recruited by Tony Stark, due to her exemplary credentials, to be Morgan's nanny. Melanie decided to take the job on because it was something different and new. She didn't know that's where she would meet James Buchanan Barnes. The man who loved bumping heads with her at any chance he got. The man who killed her father when she was thirteen years old. She hated him ... almost as much as she wanted him. ‼️ Sort of Dark!Bucky in the beginning so if you're not into that then this story might not be for you. ‼️ 〰️ "Why would she be afraid of you?" Nat asked. Something in her tone had changed but I didn't know what it was. "I don't know. I just met her yesterday," I shrugged. "Hm. Well ... I'm gonna go get suited up. See ya," she ran off. What the hell? Some thing wasn't right. She was hiding something. Something about Melanie ... and I was going to find out. She was lying about something. Violence was why I existed. It was who I was. To dominate and submit all those around me. I was a tool, a monster, an enforcer. I'd done it all because it's all I'd known. All I was taught. Somewhere inside I could still feel it. Even after getting the words out. That dark sinister part of me was still there. The caged soldier inside. Something about Melanie would make it come out. Maybe because she might've also had a caged animal inside. I itched to let it out. To let them play. 〰️ Tropes found in book: Enemies to Lovers Grumpy x Sunshine Fake Dating Bodyguard He falls first. She falls harder. ⚠️ MATURE CONTENT: 18+ ⚠️ (Yes, there is smut) Dual POV ❗️Trigger Warnings:❗️ - Language - Abuse/mentions of past abuse - Violence - Drug refere

Princess Vieira; The Safest Place To Fall [Bucky Barnes]

65 parts Complete Mature

Book one in the Princess Vieira series... Vieira was adopted by the Royal Family of Wakanda when she was three months old after the tragic death of her parents. Now, at twenty years old, she is starting to go out in the field and step up in her responsibilities. She is full of life and energy, the one to dive headfirst into adventure. Only, she wishes she wasn't so eager to jump when her father suggests that she come to Vienna with him and T'Challa. Consumed with guilt and shame, Bucky expects to live his life with his hands stained red and let the darkness surrounding him swallow him. He isn't prepared for the kindness that is given to him in Wakanda and certainly isn't prepared to run into a girl with a light that could illuminate the darkest night. She has a way of making him feel a calm that he was so certain was not made for him, but here she is, making him feel things that he thought died in the 40s. And that brings up another long list of fears. So they're stuck somewhere between definitely friends and possibly lovers. Life seems to have it out for him because how is it that every time he gets the guts to tell her...everything falls apart. (A/N- This book loosely follows the movies. Accept, T'Challa, Nat, and Tony DO NOT die. And Steve doesn't leave.)
