Annabella's life is thrown into a spiral when she enters senior year. From dreaming about a man she didn't know who seemed to know her to meeting that man in school the same morning, she is overwhelmed and confused. His blood red eyes entice her everyday, evoking new emotions deep inside of her. At every turn, she is faced with constant danger and the threat of death. This man, who she has come to know as Lucian, is constantly by her side and always willing to save the day. Until he is the one to destroy it. Now Annabella is forced to face a new challenge, figuring out how to live life in Hell with an arrogant King who wants nothing to do with her fiery personality. The blood red eyes she has grown to love seem to follow her around every bend. That haunting color is seen with her eyes open or with her eyes shut. New friends, new love, new life. She goes from ballet flats to ball gowns, t-shirts to tiaras, in just a few short weeks. Two sets of red eyes and two dozens roses await her.
