"Do you believe in soulmates?" I asked playing with a ring on my index finger. I looked up to meet his blue eyes staring at me. He inhaled some smoke from the cigarette he was smoking before blowing it out. "I believe that if two people are meant to be together then some how they will keep finding their way back to each other." He said as snow started to drizzle down. He wrapped his scarf around me before kissing my lips ever so gently. "That's why I believe that you and I are one. Our hearts are like puzzle pieces that fit perfectly together. When you aren't by my side I see nothing but darkness. You are the light in my eyes."

Louis spent his entire adolescence excited at the possibilities of what his tattoo would look like and who his soulmate would be, until his 18th birthday. The day of everyone's lives where they're supposed to have had their tattoo already. Now, 5 years after the disappointment of not receiving one, Louis has completely given up on ever finding someone. He's given up on ever getting a tattoo, on ever finding a soul mate, and on ever being loved. Until he meets Kealleigh a month after her 18th birthday. (This is a short story. Please do not directly steal my ideas, like the tattoos for example because I made them up entirely on my own. This short story is a complete work of fiction inspired by some other soulmate stories that I've read over time. Until you find your soulmate the world is in black and white until you meet your soulmate. When you turn 18 a tattoo of your soulmate's first word to you appears on your arm. My heart was beating and adrenaline was running through my body at a thousand miles per second. My hand wrapped around the door knob, but then I was pulled back painfully by my arm. I was whipped around and was face to face with a pissed off Louis. "Where do you think you're going, love?" He asked, and I gulped at how dark his voice sounded. The sane part of me was absolutley terrified of it, and I didn't like it, but the part of me that thought Louis was incredible was so turned on by his dark side. "Answer the question."
