Lindsey Buckingham, whom she has not set eyes on in 5 years, ever since the infamous MusiCares incident that got Lindsey kicked out of the band and put an abrupt end to 20 years of "almost" after their breakup after The Dance. Stevie's solo career has been thriving, and they have been raising two teenagers and a very rambunctious and creative and different little girl, Lindsey at home in his studio happily being a stay-at-home dad and making his own music. But when MTV approaches the band for a televised reunion concert and a subsequent tour unfolds, Stevie and Lindsey must navigate not just a resurgence of their careers in middle age but the perils of parenthood - as well as a late-in-life visit from the stork - and somehow keep alive the spark, the love, the undying passion that makes them Buckingham Nicks.

This story revolves around Fleetwood Mac starting during the Rumours era and going beyond. However, it does not tell the story of Stevie Nicks shooting daggers with her eyes across the stage to her former lover Lindsey Buckingham it focuses on the second couple sharing the stage with them. This story focuses on Christine and John McVie. As we all know their marriage was very much in debris by 1975 and eventually ended in divorce in 1978. My little fic here is all about 'What if not?' What if they had found a way to pull themselves together and made it work, continuing to stay the couple they never could be? This story also brings forth a character that could be all of us, and you might find a little bit of yourself in her. This story is obviously based on real life human beings that actually existed and still exist. This story however, although based on true events, is purely fictitious. While I did try my best to stay true to the real life characteristics of the people I'm writing about all the events described here have been conjured up by me and are not in any way real. Some characters in this story are not real either and purely a figment of my imagination. I hope you enjoy this little fic about a very underrated couple that I feel is deserving of more recognition, as it is my opinion, that the bond they shared was far greater than they ever let us believe. {side note: English isn't my first language so apologies if some things sound strange}

Stevie and Lindsey have just had 2 babies in 2 years! Happily married and trying to balance their young family and their careers leads to conflict, especially as Lindsey goes off the deep end with the Tusk sound, as Stevie starts talking about flying solo for awhile to make an album of her own, as as they have drastically different opinions on the dissolution of the marriage of Christine and John McVie, and as Mick muddles through an accidental relationship with Sara Recor all the while making it clear his love for Stevie has a heartbeat...and it never really dies...
