Talon wants to make it in New York, like every other young 21 year old fresh out of university. 

Talon's football superstar of a brother could have went pro. Talon's parents could have stayed together. And Talon could have stayed in small town Oregon, continuing to rent her crap apartment in Portland. 

But they didn't. And she didn't either. 

Talon's big city adventure is a little less overwhelming after she meets Harry and the band of misfits that occupy Loft 05A in their building. She learns that not fitting in can be better than fitting into spaces or places that she can't.
