Wren Garrot, having just turned 16, has come of age to own and battle with Pokémon, but is reluctant to do so. With heavy encouragement from her best friend Barry, and a little help from her insatiable curiosity, the pair of friends begin their journey into the brutal and unforgiving world of Pokémon battles. It doesn't take long before Wren's hunger for mystery, and desire to solve her own confusing past, gets her tangled up in a plot to destroy and recreate the entire universe. It is up to our unlikely and timid hero to face the real world and put an end to the sinister plot, without losing her devoted new friends along the way.
