serah, an 18-year-old doctor in training, receives news that she's been accepted to johns hopkins, one of the most prestigious medical schools in the US, on a full scholarship. excited at the prospect of her future, she packs her bags and moves south to baltimore, maryland.

michael, a 39-year-old construction management worker, has been all alone since his nasty divorce a few years back - and he's tired of all the lonely nights, when he's introduced by accident to what might be an angel descended from heaven.
