In a world turned upside down, young college student Alexia thought her life couldn't get any worse after losing her job. But fate had other plans. As Earth falls prey to an alien invasion, humanity is brought to its knees, subjugated by the technologically superior and ruthless Shuapa race. With humankind's very existence in peril, Alexia must quickly adapt to a life on the edge, navigating a dangerous path through a new world order where humans are considered less than vermin.
Enter Xero, an ambitious Shuapa foot soldier from the warrior caste known as the Serkel. Trained for battle from birth, Xero has grown weary of the constant carnage and longs for more. Sent to Earth as part of the invasion force, he soon finds himself distinguishing himself on the battlefield, gaining the attention of his superiors and becoming a legend among his people. Yet, just as his star is on the rise, Xero is betrayed, unjustly accused of treason, and cast into prison to wither away.
Thrown together by fate, Alexia and Xero find themselves sharing a common goal: survival. Trapped in the midst of chaos, these two beings from different worlds, one forged in the fires of war and the other raised in the gentle embrace of peace, must learn from one another in order to survive. But can two individuals so different find common ground, or are they doomed to remain oil and water, perpetually apart?
Brace yourself for an exhilarating tale of love, loss, and the indomitable spirit of survival that lies within us all. As they traverse a strange and savage landscape, Alexia and Xero will challenge everything you know about sacrifice, loyalty, and the bonds that bind. Black and White, Darkness and Light (Nico di Angelo x Fem! Reader)
''The loneliest people are the kindest. The saddest people are the brightest. The most damaged people are the wisest. All because they do not wish to see anyone else suffer the way they do.''
- Unknown
Nico di Angelo is always represented as the darkness. Everyone at camp is scared by him because his father is the god of the underworld and represents death. He doesn't talk to anyone, doesn't play with anyone and doesn't want anything to do with anyone. He's afraid that people he cares about will disappear and hurt him. Just like the death of his sister that left a hole inside him.
''Our fate is that of a tragic love story. And yet, here I am, unable to let him go. Directing the both of us to our appalling end.''
Y/n L/n is described as the light, the magic and the happiness. But on the inside, she's just as broken as any other demigod. She's been living with the feeling of loss present in her, as if she is already dead. But she doesn't want anyone to see that, so she makes an effort to be happy and bright to everyone. She takes care and worries for everyone. Sometimes though, she loses control of her emotions and goes back to what she used to be: a monster!
One day, while Y/n is helping her mother, she receives the visit of an old friend. He is pleading her to help the camp Half Blood. She immediately leaves her mother behind. Through fights, magic, tears, strategies and practices, she will find something new. Something that will appear only when a certain death boy is around.
Is it love? Or, maybe, simply curiosity? They are just like darkness and light, two completely different people with a similar past. But we do say that opposites attract, right?
