Zoe Murphy has always lived in the shadows.

I mean, with a brother like THE Connor Murphy, how could she not?

The shadow of Connor's bad reputation followed her everywhere. To the mall, to school, to the park, if you can name it, it was there along with her.

It didn't bother her at first. Her brother's actions didn't define her. But now, as a junior in high school, she was starting to get sick of it.

Sick of the looks people gave her, sick of the whispers she heard, sick of pretending.

She had one escape, and one escape alone from the screaming over her family, her brother, and everything thing else in the world.

Her guitar.

Hi reader, if you're reading this, you're probably a fellow Dear Evan Hansen fan. Therefore, I shall tell you allllll this fanfic beholds.

This is a Zared fanfic. Zoe and Jared. I love them together. This fanfic will also contain treebros. It won't be screaming in your face (since this is a story about my angel Zoe) but it will be there.

It will be 3rd person but mostly following Zoe's life.

There WILL be swearing!! It's DEH for Christ's sakes, in the beginning of the musical, Zo and Con are already screaming profanities at each other. But, because it won't be minor swearing (since there will be F bombs dropped), this story is set as a mature rating, just in case.
