One day, during their freshman year of high school, James makes a bet with Lilly that he can get her to love valentine's day by the time they graduate. Thinking this is just a joke, Lilly agrees, not realizing that he would keep his word. Two years later, on possibly one of the worst valentine's day ever, Lilly gets a very special surprise. "Uh, Melissa! The truth is," Jason mumbled and our eyes locked "That I-I'm in love with you" he stuttered and I was stunned. My heart started racing. I had never expected a jerky guy like him to love an innocent girl like me. Especially after what he had done. "Yeah, right!" I scoffed because I made sure not to fall into his trap again. Have you ever expected to fall for the person you hate? Well, this is the story of Melissa and Jason. They become neighbors but their first meet between the two doesn't happen as it is normally contemplated. Soon, they both become friends but something tragic breaks them apart. But unexpectedly soon, the hate turns into love. . . . How does that happen? Book cover by @lilyoongs_ All rights reserved. Copyright © 2021 lilyoongs_
