After retiring from being a palace guard Ebony is forced to a marriage alliance between herself another Lord from another House from her kingdom, but she decides to run away. After encountering a difficult situation as soon as she runs away, she meets Shade. A mysterious man, with no sense of shame or whatsoever.
Shade disguises himself as a mere obsidian knight, encouraging Ebony to take swordsmanship once again after she left it due to a tragedy. Sooner or later, Ebony gets assigned as the Prince's personal Knight, where she soon realizes she had become the idiot's knight who had saved her in the dark alley.
