After retiring from being a palace guard Ebony is forced to a marriage alliance between herself another Lord from another House from her kingdom, but she decides to run away. After encountering a difficult situation as soon as she runs away, she meets Shade. A mysterious man, with no sense of shame or whatsoever. 

Shade disguises himself as a mere obsidian knight, encouraging Ebony to take swordsmanship once again after she left it due to a tragedy. Sooner or later, Ebony gets assigned as the Prince's personal Knight, where she soon realizes she had become the idiot's knight who had saved her in the dark alley. 

Read as the story of two cold-hearted, flirtatious, and strategic protagonists' love story unfolds. A story where one has no emotions of "love", and the other who's learned not to "love" anyone.
