After an apocalyptic war, the world must come to terms with the existence of Summoners. These people can control the elements of nature at their will, but there are some people who are not too happy that they exist. As a result, many go into hiding, until six heroes come from the darkness and defend the lives of all Summoners while trying not to die in the process. Will they become victorious, or will they be eliminated like many of their fallen brethren?

Two hundred years of peace have passed in Zertima, a land filled with magic, creatures, and mages. However, after those two hundred years comes an era of fear, fighting, and death. Along with easily getting into arguments with Water Mage Salil, she is in an internal battle with herself trying to decide what choice she should really choose to carry through with. *Book originally inspired by "The Burning Sky" by Sherry Thomas.
