The stress of it all had caused him and his twin brother, Remus, to run away. They had everything planned out, for the most part, but when the ship they ran away on is overtaken by pirates, they impulsively joined the crew. The captain of the ship, known as the Masked Pirate for he wore a black mask that covered his whole face, seemed like a stoic man to the public, but the twins quickly see his love for his crew. The twins believe that they had found the perfect family, and the best life. Until a deadly curse is placed upon the captain, and the crew has to rush to find an island that holds a fountain that can wash away curses before it's too late. The problem is that the island moves, and they're being chased down by someone who wants the captain dead. Pairings will be prinxiety, logicality, and demus, if it's not your jam that's fine you don't need to read. I will display trigger warnings at the beginning of ever chapter, which will include blood and death. There will also be slight cursing, no slurs. After a few hurt feelings and a couple death stares the Light Realm learns what transpired next door. In an effort to help both kingdoms Roman's and Virgil (now acting King Virgil) make a truce and put aside their differences. Roman and his two friends, Marquess Patton and Lord Logan, join Virgil in this epic quest to save their brothers, and the Dark Realm kingdom. Like any great tale this book is filled with Fear! Love! However, within a few days of traveling through the forest, they are attacked and lost in the forest, with only a servant and knight for company. Mal, a dragon witch, lives in the forest with her two sons, Janus and Virgil. Though the three are powerful, Mal made enemies with the fae who have ever since been trying to kidnap Janus for revenge. Luckily, or maybe unfortunately, they ignore Virgil for the most part since he was adopted. When they cross paths with the humans, things get a bit... messy. I can feel my heart racing against my ribs as if it is about to tear itself out of my chest as I gaze into a pair of violet-silver eyes. They are locked onto my own with a predator's intensity. It takes every ounce of self-control I have to keep up this foolish staring contest, but I keep at it. I will not appear weak in my own court! The stranger does not blink but offers the tiniest of smirks, as if sensing my growing distress. I take in a deep breath and silently will some steel into my spine as I, at last, address him. "What is your name and what business do you have here?" The stranger grins and instead of bowing gives a mocking salute. One would think it was kind of him to take the injured man in and treat him. The problem was... the prince was cursed into a dragon witch. Understandably so, Roman is terrified of him, but he physically can't return home. However it doesn't take long for the two to tolerate each other. And with a little more time, perhaps they can learn to like each other... Guess you have to stay to find out.
