The Veela are a race of semi-human, semi-magical humanoids. Little is known about their biology; they appear to be young, beautiful humans. Their looks and especially their dance is magically seductive to almost all male beings, which causes such people to perform strange actions in order to get nearer to the Veela. They also have an affliction for pyrokinesis. 


 Eris Cassiopeia Avery is the offspring of Delphinus and Arcadius Avery. A pure-blooded witch, and a full blooded Veela. The twist? The family was the most prized possession of the Dark Lord.
