A non-fiction novel with fictional elements about the writing and recording of The Beatles' most political song, most avant garde statement and the women who inspired them. During a sleepless night in his room in Rishikesh John Lennon begins work on a new song. A song about God finding the answer to society's problems. A song that reassures the listener that it's going to be "alright". He is interrupted by Prudence Farrow who John had serenaded with a song "Dear Prudence" earlier that day. She feels they have a connection and she is eager to try to achieve the "Maharishi effect" with him. She believes that together their combined auras could change the world. This appeals to John's messiah complex. John is fixated on Yoko Ono at this time but Prudence is a welcome diversion since he is away from home and sleeping separately from his wife Cynthia. John abandons the song for now and they find a space to sit together and meditate. The effect is intense John hallucinatory but doesn't feel the planet shifting. Intuitively John makes a move on Prudence but she gracefully side steps his advances. However she agrees to meet him again the following night...

Anna Kelly has been eyeing him since she moved to Liverpool in the summer of 1957. A mutual obsession with rock n' roll and their big dreams bring them together on the top level of the Number 5 bus. A relationship is forged through the ups and downs of their teenage years. Friends come and go, opportunities arise and fade away. Both struggle to find themselves and follow their own dreams while maintaining their romance amidst the transition from the buttoned-up 50s into the looser 1960s. As life forces them apart, will they be able to rekindle the fire they once had while still finding success by their own metrics? Or will they forever be in the wrong place at the wrong time? **This story contains: swearing, sexually explicit content, drug and alcohol use, sexual assault, and situations of mild verbal and emotional abuse.
