This is a mix of the ideas from both The Hunger Games and the Divergent series, but with my own spin. The idea behind this is that children from the ages of ten to nineteen must complete tasks to determine which magical school they belong in, and then must pass the series of tests put before them before they are declared apprentices of that school of magic. If they do not pass they become Weaklings, and must take a "potion" that supposedly only makes them lose their powers and have to live as mortals, but in reality, the leaders of the society are killing off the Weaklings because they want no weaknesses, especially in magic. Come along in this magical journey as you follow the stories of Isla, a fourteen year old girl, Astor, an eleven year old boy, Fyre, an eighteen year old, and Myra, an eleven year old girl, as they go through these trials and ultimately figure out what is going on. But will they be able to stop what is occurring in their society? Will they be able to save those they form friendships and even more with?

Rising of the Weakest Mage
(Please read first two chapters for info, thank you!) For a long time, elemental magic has been widely known, used, and practiced. Elemental magic is based upon the four core elements - Earth, Air, Fire and Water. Elemental magic is most prominent in England, where many mages gather to learn and research elemental magic. However, during the early 1500's, the Fire Outbreaks happened. Several various fire mages suddenly swept through and destroyed the smaller cities of England, killing many in their way and leaving no survivors. Due to this the Council of Magic, the governing figure of elemental magic, issued an act - The Anti-Fire Act. This effectively banned any and all use of fire magic within all of England. The Council of Magic was later changed to the Triumvirate in the 1540's, and from then on are set on killing off every last fire mage. Allen Fleming, a 15 year old air mage, wishes to attend the Magical Knights Academy. The academy is where many young, prominent mages attend to improve their use of magic, and eventually become a magical knight. Magical knights are the respected mages who protect the cities of England and keep its citizens safe. But in order to even attend the academy, Allen must first pass the entrance exam. However, Allen's magic is extremely weak and he relies mostly on his physical fighting ability. Air is considered the strongest element within England, and with his lack of air magic prowess, many mages hate and ignore him. But what many do not know, is that Allen possesses a second element - the fire element! Without knowing who his real parents are, and having to keep his fire magic a secret, Allen has to work hard if he ever wishes to become a magical knight and achieve his goals. However, with tensions rising within the Triumvirate, fire mages on the run, and other events happening behind the scenes, Allen must go from being the weakest to the strongest if he even hopes to stop what may be coming in the near future.Complete
