But Gotham did never worship those who attempted to break out of its system so Jay had to adapt to the formidable rules of the city for achieving his goals. Inevitably, everything became chaos when fate punished him for his stubbornness and his idealistic aspirations. All it took was one bad day. (Pre TDK)
Book 2. To be flooded by ordinariness and drown in the mediocrity of Gotham City has always been Saffron Corteccia's nightmare of a life since her childhood. When she finds herself writing articles about Gotham City Metro' s new seat foam plastic for the least sophisticated tabloid in the entire city, even though the town is brimming over with criminal affairs, she is even a bit thankful to be pulled out of her dreadful boredom by the ultimate criminal mastermind the Joker. And in the end madness is like gravity; all it takes is a little push. (TDK)

As the social fabric of Gotham begins to fray and the Joker's intrusion into her life escalates, Anna struggles to maintain control. But is she threatened by the Joker or by something within herself? Notes: I don't have a set timeline on new chapters, but do plan to continue writing this. I have some other creative projects I'm working on right now but already have a couple of future chapters written, so Annie and the Joker will be back. What if Joker had a daughter? One raised by Gotham... She was abandoned. She's angry. She want's revenge. She hates her father... But does this mean she works with the side of the Angels? Well, let's just say, there's a reason her name is Sanity. --Note-- This story is going to be re-written eventually, while this story will be up until the other version is finished (I won't be publishing it until then) this story will be deleted once that is done. There will be notice for that, so you know what is happening, but chances are you may need to re-read the book a second time following this. Especially, since I plan on actually having a sequel to this one complete eventually. --As a side note-- Only 5 characters are my own: Sanity, Ryu, Avalon, Jeremiah, Genevieve. All other characters belong to DC, I cannot stress that enough. In addition to this I have also used actual quotes from the Original Comics for the characters that have said them, as well as used some of the same origins/storylines to give the other characters (DC's) more of an identity e.g. 'Death in the Family' storyline// Where Joker kills Jason... Or 'A Killing Joke' storyline//Barbara getting put in a wheelchair and the Joker's Origin... Finally, the Joker's 'real' name//'Batman Mask of the Phantasm'. There are other parts as well but those are the main ones and a few of the examples. (I don't know if the 'Batman Mask of the Phantasm' is the actual title to the animated movie but it is close enough, I think.) Won 2nd place in the 2015 undiscovered contest.Complete
