Superman has been missing from Metropolis for nine years, after a tragic incident, he still blames himself for, an incident that pushes him to revert into himself believing he is a monster and deserves no peace. Rumors ran rampant that he "abandoned the humans he claimed to love," others thought he was dead, or those from his home planet living among them came for him, either way, Metropolis has been without their hero for nine years.

In his absence, Metropolis has fallen into a deep void filled with corruption, crime, and greed. Although he is gone Metropolis is not left without some form of light--a bright moonlight.

This fic is for my DC lovers, Henry Cavill lovers, Superman lovers and anyone who loves a good superhero story. Throughout this story, there will be some concepts introduced by DC and Marvel and are being used, some that are rumors and I've brought to life, and even some that I've just creatively decided to mix, blend and play with.

NOTE: This is a FICTION work with much of the story structure/storyline/Original Characters being an original work. I DO NOT own any rights to the characters that are solely owned AND created by DC.

After a careless scientific accident with new elements, people with supernatural abilities began to surface. Society adjusted, and social norms changed. Heroes and villians surfaced, making the world more complicated. Fast-forward one hundred years. Neera Sanchez fights for her survival as a supervillain. She does what she can to survive, inadvertently making her a target for the heroes. Behind her mask, she struggles in personal battles, alone. When her abusive boyfriend and her own fight against depression overtake her, she's introduced to the world of superheroes. Vincent Ciobanu is a new hero at a local base. He introduces himself to the ex-villain and takes Neera's focus away from the pain and suffering she had been used. Neera grows as she gets used to her new life. Times change and things shift for the worse as Neera's ex, Koen James, comes back into her life stronger as a supervillain, threatening the peace of the world and the freedom Neera discovered. ⚡️⚡️⚡️ Neera's eyes closed and her chest rose as she breathed deeply, trying her hardest to focus her power on the heroes nearing her. She opened her eyes, watching intently as the heroes slowly crowded on the rooftop around her. The moon illuminated their serious masked faces and flashy suits, giving Neera the opportunity to figure out what powers they might possess. She kept her eyes halfway closed and studied them. Most of the suits were at least 75% black. One hero stuck out in her blue suit. It had no black on it. Neera was wary of the color of her suit. /How did I end up here?/ One of the heroes had surprised her with a lucky hit almost a minute ago. She had felt the impact and acted on it, diving to the ground. She had a better fighting chance against the six when they were caught off guard. And if one of them had the ability to purify water, it would all go down hill. ⚡️⚡️⚡️ Romance; mental-health awareness; superheroes; abuse

WARNING: CONTAINING AMOUNTS OF SASS PREVIOUSLY UNKNOWN TO MANKIND In the city of NYC--- Ok. Hold up. First of all, New York City. What, are ya gonna assume everyone here knows what NYC is? Anyway, this is about two people. I can almost hear you rolling your eyes. Another cliché teen fiction with a bad boy and a good girl? Nope. This is about superheroes. I can still hear you rolling your eyes. Superheroes. Like in comic books? Like people with super speed and mutant powers? Yes. But this isn't about the fight they have. More about the lives they lead without the masks. But just keep in mind, people who live in the world have all different skin colours. Do not assume my characters are of one unless I state them explicitly. and diversity is welcome here in my novel! Anyhow, back to the story. Ever wonder where supervillains go after their fight with the hero? What about the other side of the story? It's not like they sit in their lair cackling all day and planning how to kidnap reporters. What about the lives they lead? And instead of just focusing on that, what if the superhero and the supervillain knew each other? I mean, can they see behind the mask? No, so their identities are secret. So what if the hero and villain were best friends? What if they were roommates? What if they were falling for each other? And what happens when they find out? Now, I assume you know all of these questions will be answered in this book. But hold on. It's going to take a while. You're in for a bumpy ride. And if any of you got any of the references in this description, give yourself a pat on the back. That is a beautiful thing. And if you can name all the references in this book, you truly are a gift to mankind. Fangirl out.

MoS | BvS 1st place in the 2017 DC Watty Award! From a very young age, trouble has always seemed to follow Rose Montgomery. When she finally moves to Metropolis to get away from the crime in Gotham, she finds out that the bustling little city is not exactly the safe haven she was hoping for. With a hero complex of her own, she begins to notice the mysterious Clark Kent is always there to save her. But as the Man of Steel begins to fall head over heels in love, he worries that revealing his true identity will only put her more at risk... *** "Not everyone can be trusted, Clark--" I admitted, "--but there are still some good people out there. I think your Dad was a little paranoid, honestly. And sometimes, you're the one that needs to be willing to take that leap of faith first." The words had barely left my mouth, but in a flash, he had closed the distance between us. He bent forward, his lips brushing against mine, and for a moment I allowed myself to imagine what he would taste like.
