Superman has been missing from Metropolis for nine years, after a tragic incident, he still blames himself for, an incident that pushes him to revert into himself believing he is a monster and deserves no peace. Rumors ran rampant that he "abandoned the humans he claimed to love," others thought he was dead, or those from his home planet living among them came for him, either way, Metropolis has been without their hero for nine years.

In his absence, Metropolis has fallen into a deep void filled with corruption, crime, and greed. Although he is gone Metropolis is not left without some form of light--a bright moonlight.

This fic is for my DC lovers, Henry Cavill lovers, Superman lovers and anyone who loves a good superhero story. Throughout this story, there will be some concepts introduced by DC and Marvel and are being used, some that are rumors and I've brought to life, and even some that I've just creatively decided to mix, blend and play with.

NOTE: This is a FICTION work with much of the story structure/storyline/Original Characters being an original work. I DO NOT own any rights to the characters that are solely owned AND created by DC.

WARNING: CONTAINING AMOUNTS OF SASS PREVIOUSLY UNKNOWN TO MANKIND In the city of NYC--- Ok. Hold up. First of all, New York City. What, are ya gonna assume everyone here knows what NYC is? Anyway, this is about two people. I can almost hear you rolling your eyes. Another cliché teen fiction with a bad boy and a good girl? Nope. This is about superheroes. I can still hear you rolling your eyes. Superheroes. Like in comic books? Like people with super speed and mutant powers? Yes. But this isn't about the fight they have. More about the lives they lead without the masks. But just keep in mind, people who live in the world have all different skin colours. Do not assume my characters are of one unless I state them explicitly. and diversity is welcome here in my novel! Anyhow, back to the story. Ever wonder where supervillains go after their fight with the hero? What about the other side of the story? It's not like they sit in their lair cackling all day and planning how to kidnap reporters. What about the lives they lead? And instead of just focusing on that, what if the superhero and the supervillain knew each other? I mean, can they see behind the mask? No, so their identities are secret. So what if the hero and villain were best friends? What if they were roommates? What if they were falling for each other? And what happens when they find out? Now, I assume you know all of these questions will be answered in this book. But hold on. It's going to take a while. You're in for a bumpy ride. And if any of you got any of the references in this description, give yourself a pat on the back. That is a beautiful thing. And if you can name all the references in this book, you truly are a gift to mankind. Fangirl out.

[ONGOING] "You're delusional. I should've seen it before..." ~~~~~~~ Tanza is an agender paramedic. They rely solely on themselves, and the last thing they need is for an incredibly attractive supervillain to disturb their (relatively) quiet existence. However, if time can prove anything, it is that sometimes what we need most is not what we could ever have imagined. {-{ NEW chapters released on Thursdays }-} This story takes place in Gotham City, and therefore within the universe of DC (Detective Comics), making it technically a fan-fiction. Regardless, all the characters and storylines are my own work, except for a few Easter eggs which are aimed for DC fans. I strongly believe the world of superhero fiction could use some diversity and that is exactly what I hope to gift you all with this novel! Furthermore, I have absolutely no professional experience as a paramedic or EMT, so I did as much research as I could to try and have a realistic portrayal of this career, but of course it is not perfect. If you have any pertinent suggestions that could improve that aspect of my story, feel free to comment.
