In the year 2085, Enoch Truss, Father of Mars, led our ancestors to the red planet in pursuit of liberty. One hundred years after the Exodus, Martian satellites detected multiple nuclear detonations across the homeworld. For the first time since dawn of the twentieth century, Earth fell into total radio silence.

But on Mars, our ancestors endured. They thrived.

Today, two hundred years after the Exodus, our population is eleven million strong and growing. We stand ready to retake our homeworld. In preparation for our journey across deep space, we have sent drones to monitor Earth. To our surprise, we have discovered that human society has re-emerged from the ashes of nuclear war. These societies are in the earliest stages of development. It is as if time has been set back five thousand years.

They built Arks and jettisoned specified colonies on a direct course for Pluto to escape their frozen fates. Then, the Drax arrived. We escaped Earth and made it to Pluto, colonized it, made it our new home. They found us again. Only a few survivors live on. My father, the captain and leader, was killed in the attack. Everyone was evacuated from the home planet over 150 years ago. Our planet was dying, it was only a matter of time before our race was wiped out. We now live on a synthetic planet designed and built by our ancestors who came together from all parts of the globe to devise a plan to save us. We have lived peacefully for over a century.. Until now. Our lives were threatened when a mysterious and deadly virus broke out, killing entire communities at a time. The council says that they have a plan; they said that in order to prevent the death of more innocent people they will test every man, woman, and child for signs of the virus. Any person found to have been infected will be quarantined, the ones who die will be given a proper burial while the ones who survive are deemed carriers and are to be sent to the home planet to prevent further outbreak. I was prepared for the people I know and some I love being taken away for the greater good, but I never would have expected that among the list of people being taken from my community, that I would be one of them.. I survived the quarantine. Now for the survival of my planet I, and the other Carriers must be sent to the home planet. I'm going back to Earth. Extinction threat to humans is finally here! The year is 2040. The search for life on planet Mars...mainly known as the 'red planet' has finally completed. Samples are finally landing home. Since the year 2019, a number of uncountable rovers have had landed safely on the red planet and have been wandering till to-date on the planet's surface in search of any proof of past or present life, as the evidence suggested that during the ancient Noachian time period, Mars had liquid water and may have been habitable for microorganisms. During year 2023, telltale markers or bio-signatures to the presence of life on the red planet started emerging when element carbon - which is a fundamental building block of life was detected. On May 28th 2039, is the day something peculiar was discovered at Jezero crater on mars buried deep under layers of sediments. Without strict safety precautions or guidelines ,Samples were extracted quickly and flown back to earth for more research. And that is when something unthinkable happened, unleashing existential threat towards all earths' life forms........... Will mankind survive it or they are all doomed?

When the Mars missions started to get momentum I never knew I would be a part of it. The red planet was a great platform to gain my freedom from my lost love. I was so confused about the situation that it bordered on obsession with my mentor he was my sponsor for the mission as you need to have one to vouch for your ability to get right all the aspects of the training. The human factor involved in the highly computerized setup was a glitch that set everything out of sink so the mentor system was created to help the astronaut focus on getting the job done. I did the unthinkable crime of falling in love with my mentor. So not cool,so not professional and to top it off embarrassing for me. How do I get away from this problem. Make sure I go to Mars and not have to face him again. Even if it means I never come back again.
