ECHOES OF WAR: THE PATH OF A SPARTAN
Rei grew up far from the war... until it took everything from him. At just eight years old, he survived the Fall of Reach and was rescued by a Spartan-the first spark of admiration that would shape his destiny. But survival comes at a cost, and he was soon recruited into a program where children were trained to fight in a war they couldn't yet understand. From the ruined streets of New Mombasa to the heart of the ODST, Rei carved his own path with blood and determination, earning the respect of those who once underestimated him. But when fate led him to cross the final frontier and become a Spartan, Rei realized that war isn't just fought with bullets-it's also fought with the secrets we carry in our souls. Halo Battle Buddies 3: War's End
Book 03/06 (Current Version: Prototype - Version 1.0) This story/fanfiction is a 'what if scenario' within the Sci-Fi videogame series known as Halo and is based on an original character named 'Lieutenant Serenity McKnight' that partners with the legendary Master Chief himself, after the UNSC Pillar of Autumn had escaped a Halo Ring known as Installation 04 by the help of a mysterious alien of myth and legend called a Forerunner. The UNSC and their newest ally embark on a heavy defensive throughout Earth against the enemy, protecting humanities home planet at all cost. Lieutenant Serenity McKnight and her brothers and sisters in arms do their best to make the best of the war at the African front nearing New Mombasa. Doing so until an unknown mission would begin, deep in the jungle. The story is a 'reimagining' of Halo and is non-canon and is to be not taken seriously as this was an idea created back when I first played the games. Combat Evolved is the first book of my main series known as 'Halo Battle Buddies' and will lead up to the first game and beyond. DISCLAIMOR: I do not own Halo and the intellectual property belongs to Bungie, Microsoft and 343 Industries. This is for fun, and not making any form of profit of this story. IMPORTANT: This is currently a prototype and everything in this story is subject to change as time progresses and not the official release.
