The first installement of the 'A Fire Inside' series, from the mind and imagination of Chris Brideaux.
The last two Phoenix Born have been on the run and in hiding for years. Finding refuge on planet Linov, they became parents to Aidan. Weeks after his birth, in the early hours of first light, their comms intercept a message that those who hunt them (the Crimson Eos Corp) has discovered their location. In sheer panic they flee to planet Pedruathea, there they will leave Aidan with lifelong friend Flyx, who in turn shall raise Aidan as his own. Years later a series of events will turn Aidan's life upside down and unbeknownst to him a path of self discovery of who he really is and where he comes from.
This will be an episodic adventure. I really hope you enjoy the story and will look forward to any feedback.

(Btw, I am really bad at summary's but here goes nothing!) In a separate dimension, much different then ours, lives a land called Elementia. Elementia is a place where every element of different kinds, live in pure harmony. Each element live in different towns, controlling their majors and helping other dimensions, such as ours, live. They control our winds and our seas. They deliver newborn trees and creatures of the wilderness. And they bring the least bits of purity to all lands in each Dimension and Galaxy. Everything was bliss, cheerful, and active, until Queen Europhia, Queen of all elements combined, announced a strange and dark presence approaching their land. She called the most powerful elementals of Elementia to fight off the darkness that approach their land. Five brave souls will come front and figure out the troubles of what their land might fight. Will they win or will they lose? (How was that? Anyway, in some parts of the story, I will add your own characters if you want. Just so you know, the 5 souls are - Nature and shadows, ice and water, fire and time, moon/darkness and wind, sun/light and lightning, time. I was think of letting in your elementals (oc) to make the story more interesting. If you wanna add your own character in, just private message me and I'll see. When Charles Xavier and Erik Lehnsherr go looking for other mutants, in a great effort, to stop the world from going into a third world war, they are surprised by who they find. The first of the three that were found last is a girl who goes by the street name of a Dive, who was soon revealed by Charles without a protest from her, to be able to manipulate all sorts of water, and even turning herself into water for limited amount of times, using it to move, from place to place. The next mutant they find, is a boy that goes by Circuit. His powers were quickly revealed to be the powers to manipulate, absorb, and even temporarily to become the lightning, as well as electrical energy that he absorbs and then uses to power himself up. He is also said to be able to completely destroy metal and things made of metal if he pushes enough electrical energy through it, causing it to explode in response. The last of the three, is perhaps, the most dangerous mutant of them all. With telekinetic abilities to rival that of Charles Xavier, the girl who now goes by Second she would be a very good and very useful ally to their cause... if only they could get her to stop speaking through images in their heads. She insists with images on being called Second but they choose to all call her Instinct instead. Charles understands them all since he knows from searching through their minds, that they have, quite all of them, been through hell in their young lives. When the time comes to fight for what they all need to know that they believe in the three mutants all are to choose. Do they stay continuing to lock themselves away and only conversing with each other and on certain occasions, someone else? There was a boy, in a cave...crystals were involved...it inspired me to start writing Crystal Guardian (then called Space Pirates - changed to avoid comparison to the children's show!) I'm a slow writer...I stop and start, and reedit. This novel looks nothing like the Space Pirates it came from! I didn't finish until I was 19. Before I started university to study writing...so it is flawed, but I look back on it fondly. Probably heavily inspired by Star Wars...oops.Complete

' "What was that sound!!" Mr Katz shouts, then stops dead as he sees the panel of light. "What?" he whispers, then walks towards it and stares at it. "I don't know what happened sir!!" Farren shouts, wiping her tears. "We pulled the levers and the whole room seemed to explode!" "This.. this is amazing!" Mr Katz whispers, walking closer to the light. "Children, you've made a groundbreaking discovery! I can't say for certain what it is, but we need to call someone right away!" He turns around and faces us. "Your going to go down in history kids! I can't believe you actually-" Before he can finish his sentence six thick orange arms reach out of the hole and grab him at a sickening speed. He doesn't even have time to blink before the arms squeeze and his whole body explodes. Guts and blood shower the room and we all scream in horror. We run towards the door but all of a sudden the floor seemingly gives way into a bright blue nothingness and the room shimmers away around us. We fall.
