This narrative an alternative ending to the book Anthem by Ayn Rand that I created a few years ago. There will be minor spoilers to the book if you have not read it. This could be read as an entirely separate story as well, as every word is fictional and not canon to the actual book. The character focused in this alternative ending, Equality 7-2521, is dedicated in escaping the corrupted utopian society he grew up in. Of course, he could not learn to love it, as they were banned to feel emotions. This ending is focused on Equality 7-2521 as he has entered the Uncharted Forest outside of his city.

Every word in this piece belongs to me, but the characters and settings this narrative focuses on belong solely to Ayn Rand. The book Anthem is a very good read, and I recommend it highly.
