A lengthy description will do this book no favor.
"This is merely a story, but a good one at that. This is the story of my town. My town is that little one that isn't really on the map. Grab one, put your finger on Detroit, Michigan, and scoot your finger up and right a little bit. There, congrats, you did it. Welcome to St. Louis, Michigan. Now, before you get any ideas, no, this isn't my life story. I am barely an existent character, but a character nonetheless. Think Riverdale, then downscale it by thirty percent, then think of me as Jughead. Yes, there, I'm Jughead. Obsess over me, ladies. But, for real, my town is the sports-vill chock full of Michigan fans kicking State fans in the butthole. Just you wait, it gets better. The 'goths' are these supposedly non-quintessential, 'quirky' kids who don't like sports and think they're emo because their hair is dyed a color you can only find on the fricken rainbows that rarely ever shine in the sky."
It's been a whole summer since she left, but now, Lola Carter is returning to Riverdale, and she's not taking crap from anyone. She's lost a lot - almost everything - but she's not backing down. Most of the people she left behind have moved on, leaving her in the dust. However, a new-found fire burns inside her and she won't back down from a fight, even if it will be her downfall. With her best friend by her side along with some familiar faces, can she survive a town fighting itself?
