The Misadventures of Jayden Grace

"Listen here, you asshole," Middle school me says, surprising myself by how easily the curse came. "I am not going to let you walk over me." I turned my back, preparing to leave, then, curious as to how he would react to one of his victims standing up for him, I peeked over my shoulder.
I saw Masons' eyes flash in surprise. Turning his back, I heard him mumble, "I don't hit girls."
That comment sent me over the edge. My parents raised me to stand up for what I believed in. And I just could not stand sexism.
I twisted back, ran over to him, and punched him squarely in the nose. I heard a crack of bones, and glimpsed his green eyes turn dark, dark.. and then he broke down crying.
"'Don't hit girls'," I scoffed, "OK, fine. We can hit you."

Now seventeen year old Jayden Grace, Full time feminist and fangirl, nicknamed Jasie by parents, Jay by friends, is all grown up. And let me tell you, she can punch much better then middle school her. Just ask Mason.
