After being framed for a crime he didn't commit Izuku Midorya is betrayed by all but one of his friends, his teachers and his own mother. After being expelled from UA and sent to Tartarus all the while the good name he made for himself is dragged through the mud, that is until a video surfaced showing the league of villains bragging about how they were responsible for the crime and how easily the heroes turned on one of their own, further denting society's trust in the heroes. Izuku was returning from completing his mission against the Shie Hassaikai when he returns to something he never even expected. His master telling him that he needs to return the power in order to give it off to someone who will focus all their time on mastering it as well as becoming capable of using 100% of it within the time constraints they have. With all this coming to a head, he relinquishes his power against the mental anguish of the previous users and leaves UA. He never hears how his old mentor had told him that he could stay within the walls of UA, but he just walks away from the school thinking that since he was quirkless... that he doesn't belong there anymore. It was here that he disappeared from Japan, and nobody even knows what happened to him, not even his friends and the girls he loves.
