There is a map, a guide, a way maker waiting to be used; to be listened to.
Though the journey gets tough, though I lose my way; I still know it's waiting for me to use it.
They tell me to go this way, she told me to become this... but I don't know where to go on this journey. I'm finding it hard to know who I am...
Though I feel scared, happy, dejected; even when the seasons change,
I still know I have a map, a guide.
His words are true, so true.
Two eyes and Two ears?
Once I pick up my map, I see answers, I see them more clearly, once I listen to my map I know where to go, I keep realising who I am. I feel peace.

And a constant companion? Greater than any other friend or acquaintance; a helper, a comforter, a teacher. Forever here.
My companion helps me take each step of this journey; I know I'm never alone.

No one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. You can learn by reading His Word, the Bible. God will let you understand what He wants you to understand, when He wants you to understand, and how He wants you to understand - He is the only one who really understands you. Are we living in the end of time? Only God knows that, but there are some telling signs in the Bible. The only thing we can really do is love and trust God. Here is how I post my entries - I open the Bible and post what I see, at least about 90% of the time. I really feel that God or the Holy Spirit is directing me. I can't explain some of them. Hey, I am just a normal sinner like everyone else. I need and ask for His forgiveness daily. I feel, if God wants you to, you will read my entries, well, His entries.

There's probably a ton of reasons why you are feeling the way you are feeling at this very moment. Sometimes emotions just sneak up on us without our realization and we drown our pains or sorrows by adapting to a certain pattern of living. We develop coping mechanisms per se. What if there was a reason why you experienced what you experienced? Your pain could be the very thing that microphones your way to the person you are meant to become. It could be a highway through which people could walk on in order to find the hope they are looking for. Why you? Why does it have to be you? Why not anybody else? Better yet! Why not you? Have you ever asked yourself that question? Pretty silly huh? Really though, why shouldn't you be in that position right now? Why should it be anyone else? What if your situation could be the answer you were desperately looking for? You can either look at your pain in your own perspective or you could tilt the angle a bit and change the focus. What if you were looking at it all wrong and asking the wrong questions?

Why does one travel from a well known neighborhood to another where the outcome of the visit is not yet understood? I could name the streets and places in my neighborhood. There was a well defined map in my head that used comfortable explanations for what to expect. Then, everything changed. I drove up the hill, parked the car in a familiar place. When I walked into the house all the furniture was the same. Yet, when I sat beside him everything I knew went away. My mind was empty, only able to engage in superficial talk. I was afraid of his cancer. I didn't know what to say or how to help. I was lost in the whole sorry business. I gave him what comfort my presence was good for and, he gracefully accepted it like a brother would. Behind the warmest smile I could draw up was a deserted beach, waves of questions washing against my feet. A great ocean met the horizon and disappeared somewhere beyond where eyes could take a mind. Where would the questions take me? Where do you start such a quest?

He had rules for a reason, or thats what he said. I did something wrong I got punished. I spoke out of turn, I got punished. I looked at him or ate without permission, I got punished. Haven thats what they named me funny isn't it? Ironic really. They named me Haven because my mom would say I was her 'Safe Haven'. What a pile of shit that was. She left willingly, she didn't depart because of some tragic accident. My father didn't kill her. She left because she was a coward who didn't want kids. As soon as my older brother went to college she left. I knew she hated me. I was the product of her love with another man. A constant reminder that her life didn't work out the way it was planned. He who ever he was is a phantom in its own. A deep rooted fantasy never going to come true. My brother left, my mother left, my grandma ignored, and my father broke. They let me give up hope on escaping and then decided to play hero. But I haven't forgotten everything I went through. Guilt consumes my brother but I don't care, you don't get to leave and then buy a reprieve of trying to save someone who has been dead for years. Besides lets just be honest I reached my breaking point long ago.

There are a lot of things you don't really think about until they happen to you. Take rape, for instance. I always thought, "That won't happen to me. I have a boyfriend. I trust him. He would never take advantage of me like that..." I couldn't have been more wrong. Love in this day and age is often confused for manipulation and abuse. The warning signs are here. The things we say will tell us everything that is wrong. You are worth more than what you think you are. It's not your fault. If they tell you otherwise, get out. Burn the bridge. Always remember someone is waiting for you to walk into their life. Someone needs you. Someone loves you. Getting away from all of the wrong people and finding the right ones could save you. The world was full of trouble. Full of confusion and a catastrophic dilemma. One couldn't imagine at what destructive measure it would disintegrate into. While so many things were done to make the world a better place. At some point, it would later be revealed that the biggest problem was not a lack of educational facilities or a lack of health facilities. Believe it or not, Africa, also wasn't the world's biggest problem. The problem with the world today is sin. Sin brought about problems that would perpetuate into many more generations to come! It's almost unbelievable that someone would leave greener pastures to settle in a beat-down environment like Earth. One would wonder what this being could ever want. If life existed beyond the surfaces of our universe, why stay? If there was the possibility of walking with a glory that outshined the brightness of the sun, why hesitate? God cannot love us anymore than He loves our neighbor. His love tank is so vast that it accommodates everyone. Had He only sent Jesus Christ to the rich or the poor in African households, His love would then be conditioned to those that qualified. What makes His love so unique and strange is that He loves the broken and the sinners. He loves those of us that are unlikeable and unattractive. He persuaded His only son to die gruesomely to have all of mankind at His bosom. In the movies, opening doors and buying a bouquet of flowers is symbolic of love. In families, love is expressed in many different kind of forms. Even animals have ways in which they show affection. While all of that might stand out. It cannot be compared to the love of God. God can feel love, and He is love!
