Sonic learns that in the future Mobius is ruled by an evil entity that can't be defeated. Mobius lives in eternal darkness and people live without hope. In the future this new villain rules over Mobius with an iron fist...at least what's left of it. However, Sonic learns that this villain can be stopped during his (Sonic's) time because apparently he'll be way less powerful than he is in the future. Second book in: Sonic Running. One child was forced to grow up way too fast, the other was never allowed to be one in the first place. A year after the Freedom Fighters disbanded, Eggman returns with a vengeance. To make matters worse, Cream and Vanilla mysteriously disappear, but they aren't the only ones. On top of that, the Commander of G.U.N seems to be losing a grasp on what really matters and Shadow discovers the military may be more connected to his past than he ever realised. Sonic's saved the world multiple times, with the help of his friends. But protecting the world from harm becomes a whole lot harder to do when the military's against you. And Knuckles knows, his best friend might just be the one they were all warned to save. Good thing Sonic's not known for being incredibly stubborn. A rebellion has formed in the kingdom of Mobius. Led by the determined Shadow the Hedgehog, a group of assembled bandits have assembled to dethrone the current ruler: Miles "Tails" Prowler. With the defenders of the kingdom strained thin, the victory seems eminent. Until a deformed, metal-coated warrior steps forward to meet the threat. Sonic the Hedgehog. Follow Sonic and Shadow as the two heroes fight for true rule over the kingdom of Mobius, and claim what each truly believes to be justice. Fall into Chaos is meant to be my love-letter to the series. While this can still be enjoyed with a minimal understanding of the series, it does help to know your stuff! The story is meant to really unravel the characters of the franchise I love. Really highlight their flaws, strengths, motivations, all that. And it was fun imagining a darker tone to Sonic the Hedgehog, like seeing a meaningful struggle for Sonic *coughcoughSonicForcescough*. Lastly, trust me, I know what this is. A Sonic fan story. But, don't worry. The fan characters are non-existent...kinda. The story is actually cohesive, makes for what I truly think is a thought-provoking, genuinely fun story! With plenty of Sonic's trademark cheesiness and personality. So with all that being said, please. Enjoy Fall into Chaos.

But thanks to the new Cyan Chaos Emerald the balance of Seven Chaos Emeralds has been restored and Dr. Oliver Eggman is bent on getting this new Cyan Chaos Emerald believing that now a total of eight emeralds exist.
